___As a man quite focused on keeping to a regular routine, it was appearing to be an average day for Alek. He'd already had a couple of hours pouring his attention over his work. Only taking brief moments to sip his awful brew of caffeine. A mixture of coffee and energy drink he'd gotten used to the taste of after years in ingesting it.
___He brushed the small amount of ash blonde hair that was now getting long enough to tickle his forehead back. The odd feeling sensation of the hair and the white bandage he had wrapped around his hand made him come out of his own little thought bubble. Giving him a chance to take another sip of his drink. Returning to look through his microscope with a single yellow-green eye.
___It was then the Alek felt a sudden pressure on the base of his skull, followed by the click of the hammer as it was drawn back. If he'd not guessed at first, the second bit was all to easy to confirm. He was at gun point, and at that realization he started to feel his heart rate speed up as his hands rose in a slow contrast. A hand started to reach around him, looking for his weapon which they had no luck in finding. He hated having it on in the lab, so he kept it in a hidden place till he left the room.
___Trying to swallow his terror he realized he'd been so terrified, he'd hardly listened as the person...woman, spoke. Trying to draw himself out he tried to figure out what she was saying. Something about destruction, and the building...a bomb? She wanted him to make a bomb. He gulped as the last words she spoke came out clear.
___"Don't try anything funny or I'll shoot."
___He was going to comply, try and stall till either someone came in, or better they spotted the gun on security cam. Slowly he started to move around the room, his 'guard' never straying. He tried to think of things that would look like they could make a bomb. Obviously the woman didn't realize, she'd stumbled upon a biology lab.
___Alek started to try and look like he was creating something, mentally kicking himself for spoiling three weeks of work, but weighing it against potentially saving his own hide, he was more than willing to take the chance. Using soil samples as he felt the woman following his every move, praying this IBED member would believe he was making some type of fertilizer bomb....or something.
___At this point. Alek just mentally wished for something good to come his way and get him out of this predicament.

What is Justice anyway?- ..An exhausted sigh slipped from somewhere in Davids throat, tumbling out of his mouth as he ran his fingers through his unruly brown hair for what must have been the fifteenth time in less than an hour. This text book was proving less than useful to him, mostly as he had read the same page three times yet and still couldn't recall what the first paragraph was describing about the degeneration of muscle cells in Shifters and their variations.
..Despite not even being shifted, or having particularly keen "animal senses" anyway, Dave could feel the tiniest tickle in the back of his mind that something, somewhere in the building, wasn't as it should be. Nothing that warranted a trip from his office yet, not until the half-Greek male moved over to the other desk in his medium-sized laboratory office to notice that a pile of papers and analysis reports were missing.
..Scowling faintly, the eagle-shifter rose from the wheeled leather chair, swiping a hand to grab at some papers on his way, it meant a trip downstairs to the other scientists to find out what had happened. Opening the darkly coloured door to the pristine and almost painful bright colours of the hall before him, David tried to pick his brain, he had asked for those reports, did he get them already and lose them? Did someone borrow them and he just couldn't think past that point?
..Leafing through his papers briskly, even if they didn't have the reports for him then he could dump some other things on them. He stood in silence in the elevator while skimming the same page repeatedly before he could decide this wasn't the one he wanted, before stepping out into another brightly lit hall and walking towards the double doors which lead to the lab.
..The feeling of wrong was stronger here, and it occupied his thoughts along with the desire to return upstairs for coffee and possibly for a stretch of his wings on the way home when he paused. Silence, overwhelming silence. The labs were usually quiet anyway, those "lesser" scientists staring into microscopes or swab tests in interest, nothing but gentle coughs and the low noises of equipment but right now there was nothing.
..His dark eyebrows knitted slightly, and he looked back down at the papers. He was being stupid, there was nothing going on down here, and the faster the older male could dump his paperwork and go the better, speeding up his limping gait as he pushed open one of the doors his eyes flicked up.
..Woman, man, gun. His amberish/brown eyes scanned the pair of them in less than a second, before he dared to make a fleeting glance to the other male. If he met his gaze than Dave's own could be described as searching, as if asking "What is going on here?" and "Are you alright?" but the rest of his face was static, calm, almost unconcerned, the papers still in his grip and his other hand holding the corner of one of the sheets, mid leaf.
..He then looked to the armed lady, his stare was cold and calculating. He hadn't seen her before, she was definitely not scientist, and besides no FBI member would dare pull a gun on another. He didn't move, and didn't speak, the silence was as heavy as an iron weight in the seconds that the eagle flicked his eyes around the room and took in their expressions and actions.
"Well."[/b] Was all that came from his tight frown, the statement was apparently direction to the armed female, as he kept his eyes on hers, and although he didn't move and his voice was calm and soothed, his brain was flinging itself into overdrive. He had his pistol, it was tucked into the inside of his coat on the right side, she wouldn't be able to tell unless she frisked him or came close enough, but neither could he move to grab it without her being aware of his intentions.[/sub][/color] -And who makes these damn rules? [[sorry about this super delay I know I promised you a post ages ago Shad, I was originally going to post to Connar for dramarghs but I should do it here instead I thinks, but anyway something came up in the family and Its not been great for me recently so I'm sorry about the wait. Hum ho here you go~
Also FYI, With never told me his rank so I am going to say he's just a higher-up, not the lead scientist. But also feel free to try and correct me with anything at all ;w;"]]

___In the time she'd stayed on him Alek had made the best of what could be called a crude looking bomb, he highly doubted she'd let him get past building it even if it didn't work. He was screwed, and the constant reminder was pressed up to his spine as he worked. He itched to try and disarm her but she seemed quick enough that he'd hardly turn and grab the thing before she'd pull the trigger. Trying to keep calm, his eyes flickered to the camera every now and then, hoping someone would notice that there was a gun on him and not just someone in the lab with him. He was trying to figure out what to do while focusing on faking his way through and not moving to fast.
___He'd hardly heard the door, and he had no clue if the woman had. His eyes darted towards the door, spotting the other man, eyes widening. Trying to sneak a glance back at the woman before looking back at the contents of the table, he couldn't help the sharp canine like whistle of a whimper. Relief was making his knees unsteady. Hoping this would all be over soon, he had to make sure the other man wasn't seen by the woman, until he managed to down her.
___When the other man spoke though he felt his heart rise into this throat. One of his shoulders was grabbed and jerked back, oh god she was using him as a shield. He slowly lifted his hands up and placed them behind his head, his breathing was shaky with panic. Another whimper at the situation as the gun was pressed harder into his back. His knees quaked, ready to drop down as fast as he could if need be. He just hoped the other man didn't take the material on the desk for a real bomb and take him out instead of the woman.
___"Drop your weapon and slide it over here. Don't you dare make a move otherwise!" As the woman spoke Alek closed his eyes for a moment before looking at the other man, searching for any sign of what the other man had planned...if anything.
